This story could almost be an essay on teenage angst. You have a very economical way of writing. No word appears excess to the story.
Your opening sentence takes us straight to the heart of the matter.

She’s doing that thing. That thing she does where she’s right in front of me, but she’s nowhere to be found. Something at the end of the hall is more important than me.

We're looking at Buffy though Willow's eyes and seeing Willow's insecurities. The three of them spiral around each other at cross purposes because two of them are tongue tied and unable to express themselves and the object of the attentions is clueless.

The voices are very good.
Great ending with Buffy having done her best to cheer Willow up not aware of the turmoil she has caused.

I guess that’s it. She’s such a strange girl. I turn and walk away. Sweet, but strange.
