Writer's Block: Roamin'

If you were going on a week-long vacation to a tropical paradise and could only take five items, what would you bring?

Okay, so...is it sad that the first thing that came to mind was 'my laptop'?

The rest would be totally debatable. And it'd depend on how one counted the 'items.' My full laptop rig, with case, power supply, cooling mat and portable hard drive is five items and I won't go anywhere without them.

But if the powers who arranged this little respite were feeling generous and decided that my laptop was a single item, umm...

I saw more than one person say 'sunblock' and that's a good call. But as I'm mostly nocturnal, I doubt it would matter.

Depending on the destination, my Blackberry might come in handy. Though, it's a US model, so...

If I was to be staying in a place (like Hawaii) where it would function, I could tether it to my notebook and have internet access.

Yes, I guess I really am sad.
