But before you do, I’d like to make a point.
Aside from compliance with the rules of grammar and punctuation, there is no one right way to approach writing. Anyone who tells you otherwise is too damned arrogant for their own good…and should be ignored. I don’t care who they are.
I could chime in and claim that I don’t care for something specific, be it an author or a style of narrative. All that would amount to is an opinion. For every opinion to the negative, you’ll find at least one to the positive.
If what you say means something to you and your audience draws something meaningful from it, you’re writing effectively. Doesn’t matter how you accomplish that. What matters is that you do.
